Historic Holtsberry Cabin

Greetings,
The Village of Buckeye Lake is nearing the completion of the moving of the Historic Holtsberry Cabin and donations will be needed and encouraged. These donations will be used to complete re-establishing the Cabin on village-owned property and making some much needed repairs to it so we can continue to responsibly be good stewards of the Cabin. At the very least, we know at this point it needs a new roof and we will of course learn more about the condition after the move. A social media and website posting will be made once ODOT gives a date of the movement through the Village.
The Mayor is working with Village Council to establish a fund within our fiscal office to accept donations only for the Cabin and its preservation. Please know this fund is being set up so that it remains secure in only being used for this project and regardless of change in administration or other elected officials, in the future it cannot be changed.
Anyone wishing to make a donation may make their donation to the Village of Buckeye Lake. In the memo section of the check, please make it for the Log Cabin or you may drop it off to the Village and we will have a form you can sign that the donation is for the Cabin only.
