Buckeye Lake Village is committed to thoughtful planning and responsible growth, ensuring development enhances the community’s character while protecting property values and quality of life.
In 2023, the Village of Buckeye Lake completed a Comprehensive Plan. This plan establishes a long-term vision for how the community will grow and function, guiding land use, transportation, and development decisions over the next 10–20 years. Built on community input and regional collaboration, it outlines priorities for investment, infrastructure, and future zoning.
In alignment with the Comprehensive Plan, Buckeye Lake Village Council adopted a new Development Code on June 8, 2026, with amendments. The updated document will be made available to the public once final edits are complete and will take effect on July 8, 2026.
