2025 Mosquito Spraying in the Village

6/16/2025

2025 MOSQUITO SPRAYING - The Village of Buckeye Lake will begin their 2025 mosquito control program by spraying for mosquitoes starting on Wednesday June 18th and spraying every Wednesday through the Summer around dusk – between the hours of 8pm and 12am, as weather permits. Depending on conditions in specific areas, it is possible that spraying may occur more than once a week. The vehicle driver will have information about the spraying product and a copy can be found for review by CLICKING HERE.
On scheduled spraying evenings, please keep children and pets away from the spraying vehicle and clear vehicles and trash cans away from the street when possible. As stagnant water serves as a breeding ground for mosquitoes, please help by eliminating any areas of standing water around your property, such as pet bowls, birdbaths, buckets, old tires, pool and boat covers, or any other object that can hold water for an extended period of time. We also encourage residents to wipe down any outdoor dining settings on Thursdays after spraying to get rid of any residual spray that settles on these surfaces.
Please note: spraying will not occur on evenings with rain, winds exceeding 10 miles per hour, temperatures below 60 degrees, or in areas where people are found to be outdoors at the time of spraying. Please do not follow or stop the truck as it is actively spraying. Anyone with respiratory issues is asked to please close their windows and remain indoors at the time of spraying.
Please check the Village Facebook page or website for any changes or additional information going forward.
