Summer Lunch Program

The Salvation Army of Newark and the Village of Buckeye Lake present the 2026 Summer Lunch Program!
Kids up to 18 years of age can join us at the Recreation Center (118 Third Street) starting at 11:30am until 12:30pm on June 1st to receive a free lunch, sponsored by the Salvation Army of Newark!
The program will include various crafts and activities during the lunch hour, along with some special days with programs from Y on the Fly (every Wednesday), the Licking County Mobile Library (select Mondays), and more!
On various hot days over 90 degrees, bring a towel and extra clothes as the Buckeye Lake Fire Department could be spraying the water hose to cool everyone off!
Please plan to stay and eat at the site!
The program runs tentatively through August 14th, with NO LUNCHES SERVED on June 19th or July 3rd.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - Pickleball Courts

Please join us for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony honoring the generosity of our donors and celebrating the opening of our new Pickleball facility!
The event will be held on Tuesday August 11, 2026, at Ryan-Braden Park, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Veterans and First Responders Parade with the Budweiser Clydesdales

Join us as the World-Famous Budweiser Clydesdales lead a parade honoring Buckeye Lake Region veteran and first responders on August 27, 2026.
Time: 6:00 PM
Parade Route: Starting and ending at Goodwill Industries (10933 Hebron Rd), the parade will travel along Walnut Rd, with a stop at North Shore State Park.
